I have not included the R and B, Folk nor Rock music that arose in the mid and late fifties. I enjoyed that too but the background music I most remember in the Cincinnati area, prior to leaving home for the Navy, was primarily in the style of what you see below. They were the songs of our young lives at that time. The music was a constant. It played at our favorite diners, parties and dances and always, always from our car radios.
